 Measurement Guide

HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF CORRECTLY?

1

BRUST/CHEST:

Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level under your arms and across your shoulder blades.

2

WAIST:

Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, usually just above the navel.

4

HIP:

Measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks.

5

SHOULDER:

Measure from the tip of one shoulder seam to the other, across the back.

6

SLEEVE:

With the arm slightly bent, measure from the shoulder tip down to the desired length on the wrist.

7

SHOULDER TO WAIST / FRONT LENGTH:

Measure from the top of the shoulder (at the base of the neck) straight down to the natural waistline.

8

PRO TIP:

Always refer to the specific brand's size chart when available, as sizing can vary significantly between manufacturers.

Key Measurements for Men's Traditional Suit

  1. Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape horizontal.

  2. Waist (Jacket/Trouser): Measure around your natural waistline, where you typically wear your trousers.

  3. Hip: Measure around the fullest part of your hips/seat.

  4. Shoulder Width: Measure straight across your back, from the tip of one shoulder to the tip of the other.

  5. Sleeve Length: Measure from the top of your shoulder (where the seam would sit) down to your wrist bone.

  6. Biceps: Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm.

  7. Neck Circumference (for Mandarin Collar): Measure around the base of your neck where a shirt collar would sit comfortably. Crucial for Kaba's mandarin collar.

  8. Jacket Length: Measure from the base of your neck (at the center back) down to the desired length of the jacket (e.g., hip-length, mid-thigh).

  9. Trouser Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam down the inside of your leg to where you want the trouser hem to fall (usually just above the shoe).

  10. Trouser Outseam (Side Length): Measure from your natural waistline down the side of your leg to where you want the trouser hem to fall.

General Measurement Tips (for all garments):

  • Wear Light Clothing: For accurate measurements, wear lightweight, non-bulky clothing or undergarments.

  • Stand Straight: Stand naturally and relaxed, without sucking in your stomach.

  • Ask for Help: For best accuracy, ask a friend or tailor to help you take measurements, especially for back and length measurements.

  • Double-Check: Always measure twice to ensure accuracy.

  • Provide Any Unique Needs: If you have specific preferences (e.g., a looser fit, longer hem), please note them with your order.
